Robert is now formally accredited as a trainer by Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA). This has been a great process of development. Robert can be booked for training of mental health professionals on COSCA validated courses or equivalent. Organisations running a course contact the service via email to discuss booking.
The new website version focused on the tools. Clients and supervisees are advised to recheck them as several were remade and new ones were added. CBT has remade basic tools like thought records and new tools for phobias. EMDR has had alternative protocols for issues like addiction or physical pain added. Schema therapy has had much of its formulation tools remade to make clearer links and have easy to read flashcards. There are a few new mindfulness and distress tolerance tools. These resources will enhance the therapy journey for all clients.
Progress emphasises high-quality, evidence-based treatments, with training being essential. Following the 2023 training on CFT, Robert excelled academically, passing 10 tests with distinction. CFT, an effective therapy for shame, guilt, and anger, has proven to be a valuable method in Progress’s therapeutic approach.
Today marks the fifth anniversary of the service. Thank you to all of those that have worked with or supported the service. The service continues to support people on their mental health journey and hundreds have now had positive outcomes. The new trauma service has also gotten off to a great start with 10 people receiving EMDR already. It has been an amazing experience and I look forward to continuing to provide an excellent and accessible service.
Robert completed Train the Counselling Trainer course that is recognised as an appropriate qualification for accreditation as a trainer of counsellors and psychotherapists.
The intellectual property office has registered Progress Psychotherapy as trademark number UK00003678004. Registered to Robert Fulton as a class 44 trademark.
