COVID vaccination and future in person services

Today I received my first dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination at NHS Louisa Jordan in Glasgow. The vaccine clinic was exemplary. Staff were helpful and professional and the venue had excellent social distancing and hygene practices. I am not experiencing any significant side effects.

In the future, my vaccination may enable further resumption of in person services such as home visits. I will receive dose 2 between 3 and 12 weeks from now and at that point I will continue my discussions with authorities to request that RFCBT have further freedom to operate as my transmission risk to clients will be extremely low. There are no currently known cases of a vaccinated person transmitting COVID.

I will keep clients/caregivers up to date with the information as I get it. I believe that the vaccination program will be the beginning of the end of the pandemic and gets us back to some form of normality. Until then, keep safe.
