COVID-19: in-person session suspension due to level 4 restrictions

The Scottish Government has decided to move East Ayrshire into level 4 of their COVID-19 restrictions from Friday 20/11/20. In accordance with the new COVID policies agreed with the local government this means all in-person sessions will be suspended from that date.

In-person sessions planned for this week will go ahead to enable an orderly suspension but will not resume after that until East Ayrshire and the client’s local authority area are in level 3 or lower restrictions 11/12 or later depending on government decisions).

This is an unfortunate turn of events so soon after resuming the sessions. It had seemed that east Ayrshire would avoid level 4 last week but the Scottish government have now changed their minds. I can understand how frustrating this is and I share your disappointment.

No new clients requiring in-person sessions will be accepted at this time. For clients who are engaging with distance sessions, we will not make any move back to in-person sessions until we can ensure some continuity and safety, almost certainly into next year.

Stay safe.
