RFCBT has now been operating for 1 year. I set up with a hope of making CBT accessible for people from a wide range of backgrounds and income brackets while establishing myself as a newly qualified therapist. I said if I only helped a few clients that was good enough. But so many people reached out to get therapy for themselves and their families, more than I ever would have thought. Counselling Directory later allowed me to list as a registered professional and the service massively expanded its reach. I see people all over the local area in person and all over the UK online. Thank you everyone who has put their trust in me, and I hope our work has or is helping you. I am continuing to grow the service and have plans for the next year.
Looking into a 3rd day
RFCBT currently operates on 2 full days a week. With referrals rising a lot since lockdown ended, I am aware that not everyone gets their preferred days/ times and I might hit full capacity for new clients soon. Over the next few months, I am going to look at the viability of rearranging my schedule to let RFCBT run for 3 days. If possible, I will do it and will let people know if it will happen.
All clients are aware of my professional memberships. The highest professional rank in these bodies is accredited psychotherapist. I applied for this rank with BABCP and am hoping to complete the process over the next year. This should further reassure clients of my ability as well as my commitment to ethical and professional standards.
